What to Eat to Be Healthy?

Eating Right

Eating is an important activity in your life and it is essential for your survival also.  Everybody wants to live a healthier life but selections of food items are not supportive of this concept.  A few good habits have to be adapted to make your life to be healthy and vibrant.  People who maintain phenomenal health well into their ninth and tenth decades probably do a whole lot of things differently than the average person.

Some Tips for Eating Right and Stay Healthy

  •  Your diet should include a lot of high fiber foods. High fiber diets have been associated with just about every positive health outcome you can imagine. Fiber helps with weight loss, helps to regulate bloodsugar, and may protect against some forms of cancer.  Include a lot of vegetables, fruits and beans in your diet.
  •  Drinking green tea and red wine would be really good ideas, as would eating fish a couple of times a week. Reducing calories will extend your life. Also rink eight glasses of water a day.
  • Omega fish oil is good for health. The omega-3 fats in fish lower triglycerides, protect the heart and brain, help regulate mood, fight depression and may impact memory and cognition. Best of all, fish oil is one of the strongest natural anti-inflammatory. It serves as an antidote for every degenerative disease from obesity to heart disease to Alzheimer’s.
  • Avoid stress from your life.  A consistently high level of the stress hormone kills cells in the hippocampus, an important area of the brain needed for memory and learning.  De-stressing restore valuable balance to the body’s systems and probably extend life.
  • Walk every day for at least 30 minutes. The fact is that, 30 minutes a day of aerobic exercise protects the brain and it also has some cardio-protective effects. Waking is a good and moderate aerobic exercise.
  • You have to maintain strong personal and social connections. It will produce better health outcomes than the people who don’t have healthy social interactions. Even caring for an inanimate object can actually extend your life and boost immunity. In one study, a group of nursing home residents who were given a plant good care for its growth and well being had significantly better health outcomes (and less deaths) than those who weren't.

Adapt these changes in your life and you will be able to lead a healthier life for a relatively long period.  Select your foods according to the condition of your body, not by the tastes of different foods.  If you are completely healthy without any disease or if you are in prime age of your life, you can eat anything.  But as you grow old and having different physical discomforts, you have to watch what you are eating.  Eating right foods is an earlier precaution, before ending up in some serious problems.
